USA T-Mobile Travel SIM Card | 30 Day | Unlimited Data
Thank you for purchasing a Prepaid Travel SIM Card. We’re so excited that you chose our SIMs to be apart of your travels. Before you embark on your adventures, there are some handy things you should know.
1. Before You Depart
Ensure your phone is unlocked from your Aussie Carrier. Check that you have provided the correct SIM activation date/s.
2. Activating Your SIM
Your USA T-Mobile SIM/s will be activated between 8AM - 11AM Los Angeles time (PST) on the SIM Activation Date you nominated. The activation date should be the same as your arrival date shown in your travel itinerary or 1 day earlier if you're arriving before 8AM Los Angeles time.
When you arrive at your destination, insert the SIM into your handset (switch on roaming if you arrive in Canada or Mexico and have the 5GB CAN/MEX Add on). Once your handset picks up cellular reception, you will receive a welcoming activation message containing your USA mobile number and confirming your data pack/plan.
Important!
- If you have multiple SIMs and require staggered use. Please ensure the activation dates you nominated reflect this and are staggered.
- If your travel dates change or cancel. you need to notify us prior to the scheduled activation. Once your SIM is activated, the validity period begins and the activation cannot be recalled.
- You do not need to add funds to your SIM or pay more to activate your SIM's plan.
- Please only insert the SIM in North America.
Roaming needs to be enabled for use in Canada / Mexico (CAN/MEX Add on Required)
iOS - Settings - Mobile - Mobile Data Options - Toggle Data Roaming to On
Android - Connections - Mobile networks - Toggle Data Roaming to On
Pixel - Settings - Network and Internet - Mobile network - Toggle Roaming to On
When using the SIM in Canada please make sure you're connected to the BELL network
3. Making Calls & Sending Texts
Calls & Texts in USA
To make calls and send texts to USA and Canada numbers, you can dial the numbers directly. No prefixes are required.
Calls & Texts in Canada and Mexico (CAN/MEX Add on required).
To make calls and send texts to Mexican numbers, you need to dial +52 followed by the number.
Note: If incorrect dial out codes are used, you will receive a nil balance/top up message - This is because the network does not recognise the location of the number you're dialling. It does not mean you've run out of credit.
Calls & Texts to Australia
If you have the $15 international calls add on you can call Australian landlines and texts Australian mobiles. You will need to use the Australia prefix +61 before the number you dial or text. Eg. +61 3 9876 5432 or +61 432 123 456.
If you don't have the international calls add on, we recommend using VoIP apps such as Viber, WhatsApp, Facebook Chat, Wechat, Skype etc to make calls and send texts to Australia using data.
Receiving Calls & Texts from Australia
Your friends and family can call and text your assigned USA mobile number by dialling the USA prefix +1 Eg. +1 321 123 4567. Incoming calls are free for you. If the person calling you does not have free calls to USA numbers as part of their plan, they may be charged international calling rates.
To receive calls and send texts from Australia, we recommend using VoIP apps such as Viber, WhatsApp, Facebook Chat, Wechat, Skype etc.
4. Checking Balances
The easiest way to monitor data usage is via your phone's network settings. There should be a data tracker which lets you know how much data and roaming has been used since inserting the SIM.
5. Covered Countries
USA, Hawaii Canada (add on required), Mexico (add on required)
