3. Making Calls & Sending Texts
Calls & Texts in Europe & UK
When using the SIM in Europe, It is important to use the correct country specific dial out codes. Eg. To call a number in Italy, you need to dial +39 followed by the telephone number without the first digit. To make a call to the UK, you need to dial +44 followed by the telephone number without the first digit.
Calls & Texts to Australia
Your SIM comes with €25 International call/SMS credit. The cost is €1 P/Min for calls, and €1 per text message. To make calls and send texts to Australia, make sure to use the Australia prefix +61 followed by the mobile number without the 0 (first digit) Eg. +61 430 123 456.
Receiving Calls & Texts From Australia
Your friends and family can call and text your assigned mobile number by dialling the UK prefix +33 Eg. +33 7654 321 123. Incoming calls are free for you. If the person calling you does not have free calls to UK numbers as part of their plan, they may be charged international calling rates.
To receive calls and send texts from Australia, we recommend using VoIP apps such as Viber, WhatsApp, Facebook Chat, Wechat, Skype etc.
Note: If incorrect dial out codes are used, you will receive a nil balance/top up message - This is because the network does not recognise the location of the number you're dialling. It does not mean you've run out of credit.
4. Checking Balances
The easiest way to monitor data usage is via your phone's network settings. There should be a data tracker which lets you know how much roaming data has been used since inserting the SIM.
Note: As you use the SIM, you may receive a text from bouygues telecom mentioning providing ID registration to continue use. You can ignore this message as it's only applicable if you wish to recharge continue using the SIM beyond the first 30 days.

6. FAQs
Q. I am traveling for more than 30 days. Can the Europe & UK SIM be recharged?
A. Unfortunately the max coverage is 30 days. We recommend picking up multiple eSIMs and staggering the activation dates to cover the entire duration of your travels.
Q. I have run out of data. Can I top up/add more data?
A. Unfortunately data top ups are not possible. We recommend buying multiple eSIMs and staggering use.
Q. My travel group and I all have the same SIM, how do we call each other?
A. To make calls between SIMs in Europe, dial +33 followed by the number without the 0 (first digit). To make calls between SIMs inside France, dial the 07 number directly without the +33 prefix.
Q. Can I forward calls from my Australian number to my mobile number?
A. You will need to check with your Australian carrier if they allow call diversions to international numbers. This is because anyone calling you may not be aware they're being diverted to an international number, which may cost them.
Q. I have activated my SIM, calls and texts are working but data is not working?
A. If calls and texts are working but data is not. Please check that Roaming is switched on.
